Coach Harry Catanzaro played for Greenwich High School, graduated in 1971 and then went on to play for Norwalk Community College. He worked for Connecticut Natural Gas as a service technician and retired in 2009 after 37 years. He now manages his own company, Harry & Son Heat and Hot Water.
Coach Cat began coaching in 1968 as an assistant to his father Dan in the Greenwich Youth League, later becoming the Gateway Youth Football League. He served as a league officer, and was Head Coach of the BANC Raiders. In 2010 he was awarded Coach of the Year, & was honored with a Life Time Achievement Award for his 40 years of service to youth sports in Greenwich.
In 2002 he became the offensive line coach at Stamford High. In 2004 at Blind Brook High School he was hired as the Offensive coordinator and from 2005 -2012 he was at Darien as an assistant line / Head JV Coach.
Coach Cat came to New Canaan in 2013. In 2014 he took over the Defensive Line. After several years away from New Canaan, Coach Cat returned as the O-Line coach in 2021.
Coach Cat is happily married to his wife Patty of 33 years and they have 3 children Beth {Matt}, Paul Bryant, Stephen [Dec 2008] and pride of his family: granddaughter Sarah Elisabeth Enginito.
